Agnieszka

Not only did I love moving through my pregnancy, I learned so much and could be my own advocate during my delivery and after. I’m so grateful for these classes.”

Understanding that my body was changing through my pregnancy helped me understand that I needed to shift my mindset too.

I love how it grounds me. It’s just me and the Reformer and I feel so energized for the rest of the day.”

As soon as I start on the Reformer I seem to let go of all my wandering thoughts in my head.

She brings this lovely mix of fun and enjoyment and you definitely feel those muscles the next day. I love it.”

I love how Jill’s classes always make me feel challenged but also capable.

I didn’t know where to start but always read that strength training was so important as we get older, especially through menopause. I was intimidated to start at a gym and didn’t want a big class either. Jill's studio was perfect to learn and develop this skill in a safe and supportive (and challenging) way.

To move past having that nagging back pain has been a huge relief and I feel confident to move again.

Not only does she have a strong depth of knowledge of the body and of movement, but her ability to observe and cue my body while viewing me on a screen was also impressive. I definitely feel more aligned and stronger in my body after doing her recommended exercises for the past month.”

I reached out to Jill after years of alignment issues from three knee surgeries over a span of 20 years.

Frequently asked questions

I would love to try. Can I come try a class?

We want you to try it out! And your first class is free!

Can I join if I have never done it before?

Our classes are open to all levels and many start without any previous experience with Pilates or training. Just come with an open mind and understanding of the process of learning—we will guide you along the way.

What equipment is needed?

Weights, mat, wall, squishy ball, yoga blocks, tennis ball, small chair or step.

Do I need shoes?

For all the Pilates classes on the mat and apparatus, bare feet are best. If you like to keep your feet warm, socks with grip are highly recommended. For Strength Training classes, shoes are optional but I would encourage you to try without. If you prefer shoes, please consider indoor shoes to use in the studio.

Is Pilates safe during pregnancy?

Yes, definitely. The most important thing to consider in your pregnancy is how you feel moving. We have qualified teachers to guide you in class. Staying strong, connected and empowered is so important throughout this phase of your life.

How soon can I join a class after having a baby?

This is so individual so we prefer you reach out if you have any questions. Typically you will be cleared by your GP to start moving. I highly recommend all postnatal moms see a pelvic floor therapist prior to beginning—we have one in our studio for this reason. I suggest that you begin to move with a postnatal group to really understand what the priority is in your recovery and how to read your body as you build back your connections.

How long is my pass valid?

All passes, group sessions, and private training sessions are valid for 5 months.

What if I have to cancel my booking?

For all group classes and private training sessions, we have a studio policy of 24 hrs to cancel with no charge.

Integrative PILATES (Virtual Class)

Come and explore the world of Pilates from the classical method integrated into the whole body. Pilates is a very functional method that involves key elements to spinal mobility and function and in this class we go futher and consider the important role of the feet, pelvis and ribcage mobility and how we can blend all of this into one very intentional practice that will wake up not only the core, but guide you through functional training for the pelvic floor, feet and hips.

full-body STRENGTH (Virtual Class)

This is the class you don't want to miss because we will get into all the solid foundations needed in our bodies to move in a variety of ways, with a keen focus on technique as we add more weights to build more lean muscle mass. This class will be suitable for all levels and will challenge you but guide you through different progressions so you can begin to feel good when strength training.
