I initially started working with Jill when I got pregnant with my second child at 39. With my first pregnancy, I was very active and worked out a lot, but not in a way that was well informed. I didn’t target anything specific to pregnancy/postpartum. I had Diastasis Recti and several other issues that I didn’t have time, energy, or knowledge to address for years.

I wish I could go back in time and tell younger me, pregnant for the first time, to educate myself, take care of myself, and sign up for Pilates. But since I can’t, I’ll just tell you: prioritize yourself too, it’s worth it!

I felt too overwhelmed to prioritize myself and felt totally disconnected from my body. When I got pregnant with my second child, I wanted a different experience. I joined a pregnancy Pilates class with Jill and got connection with my body. I found a community.

Jill was incredibly knowledgeable and empathetic to our experiences. She took time in her classes to educate us. We focused on our pelvic floor and how the pelvis moves.

After birth, I started up Pilates as soon as I was ready and am still going weekly 2 years later. This time around, I was able to care for myself and heal correctly. The healing process was so much faster and without all the pain and trauma.

This 21 day challenge will take you through a smart process of training that builds the foundation you need to get your pelvic floor from feeling like you are not sure it is really doing a whole lot, to being responsive and reliable as you move.

I’m super picky with teachers because of my education and background, as a teacher myself. I know my stuff, and I know how I want to feel in a class. Jill has a surgeon quality with movement and the body. I’m excited to come to her classes, my body loves the feeling I get in her class and under her guidance. I feel stronger, more in my body. I love her way, and I feel deep resonance.

First time in 4 years I went back to yoga mat this week, and I realized that my body is stronger than it was 4 years ago, before 2 births and with several practices a week.
